A FAILED CAT FLICK & THE PERFECT NUDE LIP!

I  have been trying to sport a proper cat flick for quite a while now. And it's not been easy, I must say! Eyeliner itself is a big deal for me, and a cat flick? You can only imagine my plight balancing the liner in one hand and trying to keep eyes open with another. Any tips from you experts out there, would be highly appreciated! ;)

The one you can see here was an epic failure. I wanted the flick to be sharp and curved out, and what turned out looked like this. Nothing close to what I wanted, but however I tried to manage by manipulating a bit, atleast for it to look a tad better. It is not too bad, eh?

To balance my eyeliner mishap, I decided to just do a simple peachy nude lip which I must say, I was very impressed with. The shade was just perfect and blended very well with my skin tone. I loved it. I used the MAC lip liner in Spice and the Revlon colorburst lacquer crayon in Ingenue. The combo turned out really well and gave me the perfect nude lip that I wanted. Yay!

So that was the story. Anyway, I went on a wonderful hike to Snow lake in seattle yesterday and that was a saturday well spent. A good exercise and time with nature, the experience was very refreshing especially with beautiful views accompanying us all the way. Pictures coming soon! :)

So Sunday will be all about cleaning, blogging, #bbloggers & #lbloggers chats! Haha, Looking forward to talking to all of you!

What's your weekend looking like? :)

  3. I don't the flick is bad at all!! I wore winged eyeliner every.single.day for about 4 years as a teenager....i've since kicked the habit, and as a result, become really rusty in applying it! Nowadays I can get one eye to look perfect, but the other never ever matches. Grr!! (I'm sure you already know this) but the only tip i'd give is to stretch the skin around your eye taught, apply in small confident swoops rather than feathering & rest the cushiony bit of your palm somewhere steady. :)

I LOVE your nude lip - you look glowy (and perhaps strange of me to say?) but the angle of this photograph makes your jaw look so beautiful.

    Have a lovely day, Chaitra!!

  7. I think sometimes it's easier to flick out your eyeliner and then neaten and even out using a cotton bud or q-tip. I find gel eyeliner (maybelline eye studio is good) is easier to work with than pen on the whole :)
