5 Universal Characteristics of an impactful logo design every designer should know. Guest post for Creative Market - PinkPot

A couple of months ago, I got one of the most exciting opportunities of this year – writing for the Creative Market blog. Creative Market is one of the fastest growing online marketplaces for creatives around the world. It is a brilliant creative resource and it is one of the first places I hop onto for my design needs. Not just that, their blog contains insanely useful information that has solved my problems on multiple occasions. So naturally, I was thrilled to write my first post for Creative Market.

Being a designer I wanted to share my two cents with the community at Creative Market. I find logo design to be one of the most challenging, yet extremely exciting part of  a branding process. However, I find that the designing process can be made simpler by keeping a few universal characteristics in mind. If you are new to graphic design or if you are thinking of creating a new logo for your brand / blog , this post might just make the process a lot easier.

  • I actually don’t have a logo… Just a header. I guess I could make a logo out of it though. Stuff to think about!

    • Hi there—sorry to creep on your comment but I couldn’t help but responding, since I just launched a free logo design course for bloggers. Check it out if you want! http://hellobrio.com/dybb

    • Hi Melissa 🙂 Yes, a logo would really make your brand look professional and consistent 🙂 Definitely something to think about! x

  • GMTA lady, I love writing for Creative Market! And what a great topic—logo design is crucial and not something a lot of bloggers know about. That’s part of why I launched the free logo design course for bloggers—because there’s a huge difference between a logo and a header!

    • 🙂 Thanks so much Jenn! I am so excited to know that you contribute to CM too. I completely agree – I am sure you are totally rocking the course! 🙂
